The Real Essence of Christianity

My Sunday Scripture 2011.4.25

-----------------------
The Text: John 20:1-9.
-----------------------

On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb.
So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, "They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they put him."
So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb.
They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first;
he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.
When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there,
and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.
Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed.
For they did not yet understand the scripture that he had to rise from the dead.

My Reading Notes
-----------------------

What is the real essence of Christianity?

That There is a God
That God has send his son to tell us something
That that something is we must love each other, and love God.
That the love is connection between every one, and the Center of the Universe, that is, God himself.
That when we are totally connected, that something wonderful will happen.

why have you forsaken me?

My Sunday Scripture 2011.4.17

-----------------------
The Text: Matthew 27:46
-----------------------

And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, 'Eli, eli, lama sabachthani?' that is, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'

------------------
My Reading Notes:
------------------
We do have such feelings sometimes. Feeling deserted, forsaken.

Why have you deserted me? This is very painful feeling,if we can not understand the way God chooses. It is because we can only see from a very low level, we cannot see clearly what is lying ahead.

God will never desert us. It is only that sometimes we are in pain and our eyes cannot be openned. So, We should pray for a clearer eyesight.

He cried in a loud voice, Lazarus, come out!

My Sunday Scritpure and reading notes 2011.3.10

The text:

When he had said this, he cried in a loud voice, 'Lazarus, come out!'

The dead man came out, his feet and hands bound with strips of material, and a cloth over his face. Jesus said to them, 'Unbind him, let him go free.'

My Notes:
----------------

And this is the important part of faith.
If you can believe in this, your faith is complete.
If you dont, you can only partly understand the truth of God.

Many had lost their faith here.
